Wipro to expand workforce in Oman

Bangalore, India and Muscat, Oman – 01 September 2014 - Wipro Ltd. plans to expand its workforce in Muscat to meet increasing business requirements.

Wipro Gulf LLC, the entity established in 2011 in Oman to serve local clients, has been growing rapidly over the last 3 years, delivering critical projects across Oil & Gas, Aviation, Engineering, Banks and Government sectors within the Sultanate of Oman. Wipro Oman currently employs 70 professionals and has provided services to more than 25 clients across sectors. Buoyed by the rising demand for services, Wipro plans to double the headcount over the next 12 - 18 months.

Bombardier Opens New Regional Hub in Malaysia

Berlin – 29 August 2014 - Bombardier Transportation has officially opened a new hub in Kuala Lumpur to support rail projects in Malaysia and the Asia Pacific region. The brand new office in the centre of Kuala Lumpur will accommodate more than 100 engineering, project management, systems integration and signalling specialists. It will be the regional Centre of Expertise for system engineering and system integration, specialising in turnkey transit system projects across the region.

Altair Opens New Regional HQ in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Kia Motors to build new manufacturing plant in Mexico

27 August 2014 - Kia Motors Corporation has signed an investment agreement with the Mexico government to build a manufacturing plant in Monterrey which is located the northeastern state of Nuevo León. Representing an investment of approximately US$1 billion by Kia Motors, the new, highly automated manufacturing plant will be situated on a 500 hectare site that will also be home to numerous supplier companies' facilities.
