China Global Investment Tracker 2012

6 Jan 2012 - China's investment overseas is increasingly important to the United States and the international community. The Heritage Foundation has come out with the China Global Investment Tracker 2012, which is supposedly the only publicly available, comprehensive dataset of large Chinese investments and contracts worldwide beyond Treasury bonds.

The Western Hemisphere continues to draw the most attention from Chinese companies - US ($ 34.7 bn), Brazil ($24.7 bn), Canada ($14.6 bn) and Argentina ($11.7 bn). Chinese companies have also invested $52.1 bn in Europe, $55.8 bn in West Asia , $59 bn, East Asia and $ 67.3 bn in Sub-Saharan Africa.
