Banijay International moves its headquarters to London, UK

31 August 2012 - Banijay International, distribution arm of global production conglomerate, Banijay Group, has opened a new London office as it seeks to strengthen its presence in all key global media markets. The new foothold in London will see the relocation of several staff from the Paris and Copenhagen office with the intention to add a number of new team members to the growing Banijay International workforce.

Since the company’s inception in Spring 2010 its sales team has more than doubled in size and expanded its international reach to Asia and Latin America making sales in China, Mexico, Middle East and North Africa for its growing in house and third party formats catalogue.

Karoline Spodsberg, Managing Director, said, “London is an epicentre for the formats industry and as a major distribution player we wanted to have a physical presence in this key market. Over the last two years Banijay International has grown from a small entity to a busy bustling team constantly on the road meeting with clients and assessing the industry landscape across all continents. However, our boutique way of working with both format owners and clients has stayed the same and by centralising the full team in London we will be able to optimise all the synergies within our team and at the same time make sure we deliver top quality to all our partners.”

As well as increasing its presence in the UK, Banijay International is augmenting its strategic focus on format acquisitions from the US market. As part of this drive, Global Acquisitions Manager Fanny Baudry has relocated to Los Angeles with a view to further strengthening relationships and building new creative partnerships on the West and East coasts.
