Banner Engineering Opens Office in Seoul, South Korea

Minneapolis, MN – 30 August 2012 - Banner Engineering celebrated the opening of its Seoul office. Establishing a South Korean office is a strategic move to provide advanced technical support and improved communication to Banner's existing distributors in Korea, and offer localized products to Korean-based customers.

Over the past four decades, South Korea has steadily developed its industrial and automotive presence, becoming one of the world's fastest growing markets. In response, Banner Engineering has partnered with Turck Korea and KNS distributors to supply sensing and vision applications to help Korean manufacturers streamline production. Banner's new, local office will help synchronize communication between Banner and the distribution companies and enable quicker, more efficient technical support by eliminating the language barrier. The office will be staffed by Managing Director Adrian Lee, an office coordinator, and an applications engineer.

Since the early 1990s, Korean industrialists have been aggressively implementing factory automation processes. Banner's sensing and vision solutions will continue to help support this movement with localized, customer-specific solutions. "By opening a South Korea office," says Bob Schlicksup, Vice President of Global Sales,"we'll have immediate access to customer feedback, and are better able to customize our products to their factory needs."

Banner's existing Korea-based customers include Samsung, LG, GM, and Hyundai-Kia.

Banner Engineering is a world leading manufacturer of photoelectric and ultrasonic sensors, indicator lights, vision sensors and vision lighting, electronic machine guarding systems, wireless networks, fiber optic assemblies and precision measurement systems.
