Russian Maritime Register of Shipping Opens New Office in the Dubai, UAE

18 September 2012 - Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) has opened a new office in the United Arab Emirates (Dubai). The office has been established for the purpose of ensuring quality, timely and cost-effective request performance in the region including a number of countries of the Arabian Peninsula and the African Continent. 

The new office in the UAE has been established in line with the RS global expansion strategy. As of September 2012, the RS structure includes the Design and Newbuilding Support Centre in the Republic of Korea (Busan), new offices in Italy (Genoa), the Netherlands (Rotterdam), the Republic of Belarus (Osipovichi). Besides, the Regional Office for Atlantic Area, launched in December 2011, with its headquarters in Germany (Hamburg) coordinates all requests in Europe, North and South America. 

Established in 1913, Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) is one of the leading classification societies. Recognised by the European Union. Member of IACS. The RS activity is aimed at enhancing high standards of maritime safety and minimising the negative impact of human activities on the environment through scientifically based risk assessment and risk management procedures.
