Tetra Pak invests €25 million in its packaging material plant in Izmir, Turkey

Lausanne, Switzerland – 26 September 2012 - Tetra Pak marking its 40th year of operations in Turkey, inaugurates a new laminator at its packaging material factory in Izmir, Turkey. The new VT laminator will increase production capacity by 20%, delivering innovative packages with shorter lead time to customers in the Turkey and Caucasus, and enabling export to the region. 

The new laminator, which begins production in January 2013, boosts production capacity from 5 billion packs to approximately 6 billion. It is capable of laminating all types and sizes of Tetra Pak packages, including Tetra Prisma® Aseptic, Tetra Gemina® Aseptic and Tetra Brik® Aseptic packages with Helicap caps.
