EDF Energies Nouvelles commissions 48 MW Linowo wind project in Poland

- Located in the Grudziadz region of Northern Poland 

03 January 2013 - Pursuing its development in Europe, EDF Energies Nouvelles announces the commissioning of Linowo wind project, in Poland, with an installed capacity of 48 MW. Located in the Grudziadz region of Northern Poland, the Linowo wind farm is equipped with twenty-four turbines, manufactured by Vestas. 

EDF Energies Nouvelles acquired this project under construction last July, through its new subsidiary EDF EN Polska. 

Poland, which benefits from very good wind conditions, also offers an economic and regulatory environment that favours the development of renewable energies and has set a target of developing 6 GW of wind capacity by 2020. This first commissioning illustrates EDF Energies Nouvelles' aim to develop its wind activities and to become a major player in this country with strong growth potential.
