EDF Energies Nouvelles commissions Bobcat Bluff and Shiloh IV wind projects in the U.S.

- Two projects have an installed capacity of 252.5 MW 
- 150 MW Bobcat Bluff located in Archer County, Texas 
- 102.5 MW Shiloh IV located in Solano County, California 

09 January 2013 - EDF Renewable Energy, EDF Energies Nouvelles' US subsidiary, announces the commissioning of two new wind power plants, Bobcat Bluff and Shiloh IV, with an installed capacity respectively of 150 MW and 102.5 MW. Both wind power plants were commissioned at the end of December. 

Located in Archer County, in the state of Texas, the Bobcat Bluff wind power plant consists of hundred 1.5 MW turbines, manufactured by General Electric. EDF Renewable Energy acquired the project in March 2012 and commenced construction in April. EDF Trading will provide energy management services and act as the qualified scheduling entity. 

Located in Solano County, in the state of California, the Shiloh IV wind power plant comprises fifty turbines, manufactured by REpower. Developed, built and owned by EDF Renewable Energy, Shiloh IV wind power plant will deliver electricity for the benefit of Pacific Gas and Electric Company under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement. 

Together the plants will generate sufficient electricity to supply approximately 80,000 average homes. Both wind power plants will be operated and maintained by EDF Renewable Services. 

Pursuing its development in North America, Shiloh IV and Bobcat Bluff completions highlight the Company's business momentum in the United States. With these two projects, EDF Renewable Energy has successfully put into service four wind projects for a total of 654.3 megawatts during 2012
