Huf North America to invest $20 million and create 100 jobs in Tennessee

- Expand its facility in Greeneville to include plastic injection moulding
- Expansion to be complete in 2013, Customer deliveries beginning 2014

Nashville – 31 January 2013 - Huf North America will expand its Greeneville, Tenn. facility. The expansion represents an investment of $20 million and the creation of 100 manufacturing jobs.
 

The company will add a 52,000 square foot addition to its current structure for a plastic injection molding and paint facility. The expansion is expected to be complete in 2013, with customer deliveries beginning in 2014. 

“Our Jobs4TN Plan made expanding existing businesses in Tennessee one of our priorities, and it identified the automotive industry as one of six key clusters in which Tennessee has a distinct competitive advantage we could leverage for job growth,” Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam said. “Huf North America has been a part of Tennessee’s business community for nearly two decades, and I want to congratulate the company on its ongoing success.” 

“Tennessee is an attractive location for companies around the world with our business friendly environment, solid workforce and tradition of quality manufacturing,” Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty said. 

“Huf North America is excited to announce the business and process expansion at our Greeneville, Tenn. location to include plastic injection molding and paint, which will create 100 new jobs,” Michael Supe, president and CEO, Huf North America, said. “Our Tennessee location was established in 1995 and is considered a central logistic location for the Huf Group, supplying German and U.S. original equipment manufacturers. The expansion completion date is planned for the end of 2013, starting customer deliveries at the beginning of 2014. The annual planned volume is 2.5 million vehicles.”
