Vantaa, Finland - 21 February 2013 – Quintiq today launched its newest business unit in Finland (BUFI) devoted to addressing supply chain planning and optimization (SCP&O) market potential of Finland, Sweden and the Baltic States. Quintiq’s target industries in the Finnish region include pulp and paper, metal processing, mining, logistics, and others.
Quintiq announced that Olli Kämäräinen and Markus Malinen will lead the new unit. Olli Kämäräinen has 15 years of business consultancy, management and academic expertise in optimization algorithms. Markus Malinen has 20 years of logistics, ICT, sales and R&D management expertise in the steel industry. Together the pair will oversee the new Quintiq entity, based out of Vantaa, as co-Business Unit Directors.
