KONAMI to relocate its European HQ to the UK

04 March 2013 - KONAMI plans to establish its European HQ within the B.V. company structure in the UK. KONAMI previously signaled its intention to relocate its European HQ to the UK last year, and the new office will play host to its key operations. The move is the continuation of KONAMI's planned changes to its European territories along with the merger with its holding company, Konami Digital Entertainment B.V.

While Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. is to start acting as the European HQ in the beginning of April 2013, the four local offices in France, Germany, Spain and UK will retain their regional responsibilities with the UK office also relocating to the new Windsor base

This signals KONAMI's clear intention to work more closely with its consumers within each territory, and to offer a more localised product and service.

"This move heralds an exciting new chapter for KONAMI," commented Shinji Hirano, President for Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH. "By the new way we work; we can provide a more personal commitment to our consumers across Europe. KONAMI is a publisher with an enviable roster of titles, and we now look forward to meeting the challenges of an evolving market with the strongest possible team in place."
