Aisin Seiki Opens Branch in Shanghai, China

09 April 2013 - Aisin Seiki has opened a branch in Shanghai, reinforcing its sales promotions to local automakers in Eastern China. This is its third sales base in China, following the Tianjin main office and the Guangzhou branch, to enhance sales promotions to automakers in the Shanghai region. The Shanghai branch has started with six employees, and more staffing is to be considered to promote sales for automakers located in western and southwestern China.

Aisin started engine parts production in 1995, and has enlarged its production base targeting Japanese-owned automakers in China, particularly focused on companies in Northern China (e.g. Tianjin, Tangshan) and Southern China (e.g. Guangzhou, Foshan). Recently, aiming at strengthening business foundations in Eastern China, Aisin established "Aisin (Nantong) Technical Center of China Co., Ltd." in Nantong City of Jiangsu Province in September 2011 to develop automotive parts, and a sunroof production company, "Aisin Wuxi Body Parts Co., Ltd.," in Wuxi City in the same province. Aisin also has launched the supply of body-related parts to Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Co., Ltd.

Aisin and its group companies will jointly exhibit as the Aisin group in "the 15th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition (Auto Shanghai 2013)" to be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center from April 21 to 29, 2013.

The company is headquartered in Kariya city, Aichi Prefecture, Japan
