UK-based m/SIX opens office in New York

New York – 05August 2013 - m/SIX, a fast-growing UK-based media agency, this week opened its first North American office in New York and appointed top industry executive David Stopforth as Managing Director. 

m/SIX is an equity partnership between creative agency CHI & Partners and GroupM. The agency brings a unique value proposition to the US that has made it one of the fastest-growing media agencies in the UK. It combines the creativity and agility of top London-based independent creative shop CHI & Partners with the buying capability, technology and specialist services of GroupM. 

David Stopforth will lead the company’s North America operations, with a key focus of driving strategy across all clients. He is tasked with improving sales efficiency by leveraging insights derived from m/SIX’s data, digital and analytics services. He will report to m/SIX Global CEO Jess Burley.

m/SIX was launched in the spring of 2012 as a joint venture between GroupM and CHI & Partners. The company was initially established in 2008 as mCHI to offer CHI clients a full media service along with creative services but was expanded and rebranded in order to grow the business and target a wider client pool seeking media-only marketing solutions. The agency’s growing client roster includes Campari, Britvic and AM/PM, among others. 

GroupM is the leading global media investment management operation. It serves as the parent company to WPP media agencies including Maxus, MEC, MediaCom, and Mindshare.
