A.T. Kearney Opens New Office in Bogotá, Colombia

Bogotá - 2 October 2013 - Global management consulting firm A.T. Kearney has further expanded into South America with the opening of its 58th office worldwide in Bogotá, Colombia. The new office becomes A.T. Kearney’s third in Latin America, joining Mexico City and São Paulo in a region the firm first entered in 1994.

Colombia is very favorably positioned in the region with almost uninterrupted four to five percent annual GDP growth since 1982, sound economic and monetary policy, democratic stability, and market-oriented policies,” said Johan C. Aurik, A.T. Kearney managing partner and chairman of the board. “In recent years, our business in and related to Colombia has increased to the point where it is now an opportune time to establish a formal presence consistent with our global growth aspirations.”

The Bogotá office will be led by Maria Eugenia Fanjul, an A.T. Kearney partner since 2008 who relocated from the firm’s Madrid office.

An expanding middle class and growing consumption patterns put Latin America front and center on the strategy agendas of many international companies,” said Daniel Mahler, A.T. Kearney partner and head of its Americas region. “Expanding our footprint to Colombia gives Colombian and international companies access to our best resources from around the world as they seek to achieve both an immediate impact and lasting, growing advantage across their operations in the region.”
