USANA to build $40 million manufacturing facility in Beijing, China

Salt Lake City - 04 November 2013 - USANA Health Sciences Inc. is building a state-of-the-art facility in Beijing. The approximately $40 million structure will house world-class manufacturing and production operations. Upon completion, the nearly 319,000-square-foot site will be the largest in all of USANA's 19 international markets.

"Our plans to invest in a high-tech production facility in Beijing reflect the significant opportunity and potential we see for our business in mainland China," said Dave Wentz, USANA's chief executive officer.

USANA has negotiated land usage rights for this new building with the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area, which houses a number of high-tech industries. The company anticipates that construction on this facility will begin in 2014 and will be operational during the latter part of 2015.

Founded in 1992, USANA Health Sciences is a U.S.-based nutritional company that manufactures supplements and personal care, energy and weight-management products in its FDA-registered facility in Salt Lake City.
