GlobalLogic Opens New Engineering Center in Kosice, Slovakia

San Jose, Calif. - 17 June 2014 – GlobalLogic has opened a new engineering center in Kosice, Slovakia. The center will be headed up by Ivan Hruska, former president of Ness Europe and an entrepreneur with nearly 30 years of technology experience.

"We're expanding our business and continuing to grow the company in key markets around the world," said CEO Shashank Samant. "The new center in Slovakia is a proof point of our strategy to expand to Central Europe and continue providing our customers with the best engineering talent across the world. I am fully confident that Ivan and the stellar management and engineering team he is building in Kosice will further solidify our position in the European market."

The new center will provide more opportunities for the growth of the company, its customers and global product development. As a member of the EU, and its close proximity to the US and Europe, Slovakia is one of the most rapidly growing economies in Europe and has a strong focus on R&D and innovation in the technology sector. Additionally, the city of Kosice is commonly referred to as "IT Valley" (the Silicon Valley of Europe) with a top engineering talent pool, and has a well-developed education system and workforce that is fluent in English and several other languages.

"Slovakia is quickly becoming the next major player in the technology sector, and this is a great opportunity for us to continue providing our customers with the best in R&D and talent. The fact that GlobalLogic is opening and growing this center organically speaks volumes about its potential and capabilities not only in this market, but globally as well," said Hruska.
