JinkoSolar Opens Factory in South Africa

Shanghai – 11 August 2014 - JinkoSolar has opened a solar module factory in Cape Town, South Africa. The factory covers an area of 5,000m2 and has annual production capacity of 120MW. JinkoSolar invested a total of approximately USD7.5 million in the factory which is expected to create 250 jobs.

"Since winning our first South African tender in 2012, JinkoSolar has become the market leader having sold over 300MW to date. The completion of this factory highlights JinkoSolar's strong capital base and ability to diversify its global manufacturing facilities geographically. The factory will also enhance JinkoSolar's global production chain allowing it to serve customers across the region with local content.
