ARCADIS strengthens presence in Czech Republic

• ARCADIS (EURONEXT: ARCAD), the international design, consulting, engineering and management services company, today announced that it has acquired the engineering consultancy Bohemiaplan in the Czech Republic.
• With gross revenues of EUR 3.5 million and 70 employees, Bohemiaplan supplies civil design services, environmental projects and engineering services for power supply, mining, and water and waste management. Further financial details were not disclosed.
• "This acquisition serves to strengthen our position in Central Europe and allows us to add a lot of know-how in the energy sector to our knowledge base. With combined positions in Poland, the Czech Republic and Romania, ARCADIS is a leading consulting engineer in Central Europe, a market which has demonstrated solid growth potential in the past number of years," said Friedrich Schneider, board member for ARCADIS.
