FamilyMart plans to open more stores in China and Korea

• Japan's third-largest convenience store chain, FamilyMart Co Ltd, said it plans to open more stores in China in the next financial year than in the current year to February, eyeing growth outside its saturated home market.
• FamilyMart plans to add a net 130 stores in China this year, bringing the total to about 330.
• It will also add 400-500 stores in South Korea annually for the next three to four years, the company said on Monday.
• FamilyMart has about 7,600 stores in Japan and 7,900 overseas, including South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand. It also opened its first store in Vietnam last week.
