Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency opens a business center in Syria

• The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency has opened a business center in Syria, a Middle Eastern country with no diplomatic relations with Korea
• Launched in Damascus, the Korea Business Center will start playing a key role for promoting business relations between the two countries
• Trade volume between the two countries has been continuously growing. Korea exported about $724 million worth of shipments in September, a 39 percent increase from a year ago. Hyundai cars accounts for nearly 30 percent of the local car market
